It’s now easier than ever to browse the Simply Wall St Community and find engaging narratives from members of our community! We’ve been hard at work improving your experience browsing Community with some great new additions:

• Looking for narratives on a particular company? You’re now able to search the Community for narratives on any company you like! You can also journey back through the breadcrumbs to find collections of narratives on specific industries and markets.

• Are you searching for value, or perhaps looking to view a contrarian perspective on a stock you’re interested in? Well now you can quickly filter the Community for narratives that deem a company to be undervalued or overvalued.

• The latest and most recently updated narratives are now highlighted with fancy new badges. Never miss the latest on the companies you’re interested but searching for brand new narratives from our users.

Company Report

Keeping track of your notion of Fair Value is a super important part of making informed investment decisions. To support your decision making process, we’ve added the ability to set a Fair Value straight from the company report.

You’re now able to browse Community narratives, Analyst AI narratives, the Simply Wall St DCF or even create your own Fair Value right from the banner of the Company Report!

Watchlist

We’ve overhauled our Watchlist experience with a new Fair Value modal. When assigning a Fair Value to a company on your watchlist, you’ll be met with a new-look list of Fair Values, from the Simply Wall St DCF and Analyst Price Targets you’re familiar with, to your own Narratives you’ve created. For the first time, you’ll also be able to set Fair Values from Narratives created by the Simply Wall St community.

Community

Over the last year, we’ve been hard at work creating Narratives for Simply Wall St, which allows users to share their own unique perspectives on the companies they follow. These Narratives now have a place to call home. Introducing the Simply Wall St Community! Here you’ll find thousands of unique perspectives on stocks from around the world. Read, discuss, share and follow insights that support or challenge your perspective or create your own Narrative to share amongst the community.

Portfolio

Building on our dividend analysis capabilities, our latest update allows you to view projected dividend payments for the next three years. You can now easily access forecasted income estimates for the upcoming 12 months and beyond and track your total monthly income. Plus, you can also review detailed estimates for dividend payments from individual companies at a glance.

Plans & Subscriptions

Payment support has been added for both the Japanese Yen (¥) and Korean Won (₩) allowing the use of these currencies to pay for a subscription for accounts registered from Japan and Korea respectively.

Also for our users in Australia and The European Union, you have the ability to pay by direct debit from your bank account as well as the option of using a credit card.

Narratives

• All narratives on our platform have been updated to use the new Valuator on the sidebar. You can now augment the valuation of any narrative you read on the platform to use the inputs you find suitable, helping to best ascertain your own fair value of a company.

• Narratives now have a new look! To keep up with the many new narratives users are creating on the platform, we’ve designed a new narrative card that can help you discover the latest narratives without being overwhelmed. Find new narratives on the companies that you’re interested in and uncover new perspectives that may inform your own investment decisions!

• The Snowflake, our ultimate tool for understanding a company’s performance at a glance, is now displayed in your holdings list for each company in both Portfolio and Watchlists. You can also sort your holdings by their Snowflake scores in each performance category.
  
  

• Fair value can now be set from within your Portfolio. This feature was previously only available in the Watchlist, but now you can prescribe a fair value to your holdings from the comfort of your portfolio. The fair value you set will also be synced across the platform.

User Profiles

• Simply Wall St users are now able to add a username to their Simply Wall St Profile. Be sure to get in quick to secure your username!

What’s changed as of 21 December 2023

The Screener, Portfolio and Watchlists are now even better. The portfolio snowflake is back! Analyse your entire Portfolio in seconds, find new investments with our new advanced Screener options and update all of your company fair values easily through the Watchlist.

• While discovering new investing ideas, you can further refine your exploration process by utilizing the snowflake filters. Tailoring these filters allows you to precisely align the list with your unique investing preferences and style.

Portfolio

• Following recent improvements and upgrades to the portfolio, we have brought back a new an improved version of the Portfolio Snowflake. The Snowflake still includes an aggregated analysis of all of your portfolio holdings as before, but now includes the total risks and rewards present across your holdings.
  
  

Watchlist

• Our latest changes to the Watchlist now mean that your fair value estimates for your favourite stocks are synced across your various watchlists. Whether you wish to follow the Simply Wall St Discounted Cash Flow valuation, Analyst Price Targets or you have your own idea of fair value, your fair values will update on every watchlist you have automatically.

The Screener, Company Reports, Portfolio, Notes and Dashboard have received some great new features and upgrades. You are able to find great companies more easily, dig deeper into a company’s expenses and better understand your portfolio’s geographic risks plus much more.

Company Report

• When examining a specific company on the company report page, you can now explore peers with similar characteristics across various themes, such as high-growth sectors, value stocks, or strong financial performers—empowering you to pinpoint investment opportunities that align with your criteria.
  
  

• You also have the option to explore the full list of companies under each theme and customize the filters to your liking.
  
  

• The Revenue & Expenses Breakdown table is now enhanced with a detailed breakdown of expenses.
  
  

   

Portfolio

• A new Geographic Diversification Chart that provides a regional breakdown of the revenue sources of all your Portfolio holdings.

Notes

• The maximum character limit for notes has now increased to 10,000.
  
  

Dashboard

• Portfolio widget now displays aggregated portfolio holdings, giving a more complete overview of your portfolios as soon as you login.

Company Reports

• Introduced a new Free Cash Flow Chart that breaks down the factors that impact a company's free cash flow (funds remaining after accounting for necessary expenses and investments) over the past 12 months, offering a visual representation of key elements in play.
  
  

• Both the Free Cash Flow Chart and the Revenue & Expenses Breakdown Chart are available in a tabular format, enabling smoother data interpretation and comparison.
  
  

   

Screener

• Introduced new screener alerts so that you receive timely notifications whenever there are fresh additions to your saved stock screeners so you can jump on any new investment opportunity.
  
  

   

Narratives

• You now have the ability to upvote or downvote each narrative to provide some feedback on the quality of a narrative’s analysis and its writing.
  
  

• We have added follow functionality to narratives so you can be updated on any future announcements or changes to the narrative. Following a narrative adds the company to your watchlist, so that you’ll be informed of any changes in opinion or see if the author’s predictions have come to fruition.
